Broadcast Radio

I have been doing broadcast work for all-volunteer WCOM-LP 103.5 FM in Chapel Hill / Carrboro since the station started.  Our first remote broadcast was at the dedication of ML King Boulevard in Chapel Hill in Spring of 2005, followed by the Shakori Hills music festival, and then "Carrboro Live" each Thursday 7-8pm from the lawn of Weaver Street Coop Market during the warm months.

Thanks to all the wonderful DJ's and listeners.  Also to Kirby for engineering assistance, Cabot for Random Acts of Music, Furious George for being.... furious!, and Rocco for keeping us all to the middle of the road.

www.wcomfm.org is the station's website - click for the listen online button, and for donations!

For several years in NYC I was sometimes on the air at WBAI-FM, Pacifica radio, with technology commentary.

From the inception of WNCU-FM, and North Carolina Central College in Durham, I did regular 90 second "Doctor Dave" commentaries, for two years.

substitute DJ at WXDU-FM, the Duke University student station.  My specialties are bluegrass, alt-country americana, and jazz.
