This area provides details on the finishes at Fiori Hill, for buyers. We have samples of many products available for you to see.   Appointments ARE be available with the showrooms if you would like to review and price changes directly with the vendor – please call first for an appointment with the person specified.   Online examples may be found at the vendor or manufacturer websites (links included below as available, accuracy attempted)  Note that all specifications are subject to change and contract takes precedence.   Please retain copies of all vendor paperwork and confirm with the seller/builder.

Base cabinets will be MAPLE, Natural, Atlanta1 style. Many different stains and styles available at no charge.
Granite countertops in kitchens (“level 1”) in many colors at no charge. Bath countertops will be white cultured marble, granite an optional upgrade.

Builder’s Update (10/17)

A note from master builder Jeff Peloquin, and some recent photos:

After beating through the rock we are complete with the water, sewer and power installation. Gas is going into the ground now and we are installing underground cable last before we start some seeding.

The Verona model [for sale] is slated for finish around December 15 and we have 2 owner specified, beautiful, custom homes under way with a 3rd in the queue.

We have started an Avanti ll for sale on lot 19 with a wonderful view of the creek and a wide open unfinished basement. This Avanti has 3 bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths and is priced for the budget minded!

I want to extend our appreciation for the folks that waited for the infrastructure to be completed and look forward to making Fiori Hill a great community!

Grace Kim talk on Cohousing:

A nice TED talk on cohousing by an architect has been posted:

The Verona model home on lot 2 is fully dried in, wired, and plumbed.  The HVAC system is being installed.  Siding is about to go on and be painted, followed by the metal roof.

Framing has started on the first TUSCAN home (lot 18).   As soon as a permit is issued, foundation work will start on the second Tuscan (lot 16).   Duke power has marked all the lots and promises to run underground lines this month.

The Reservation process is over.  Each reservation holder has been contacted to convert to an Offer to Purchase a home.   Estimated completion of homes is 5-6 months after issuance of building permit, depending on location and model.

Water Heaters will now be advanced State Select 91% efficiency 48 gallon electric tanked heaters, due to reports from local plumbers regarding poor performance of the “ecoSmart” instantaneous electric water heaters.  Gas fired instantaneous whole house water heaters are still an option well worth considering as an upgrade.

Home Standards and upgrade Options

All our custom urban cottages share exciting basic standards.  and we have an attractive price point, which includes major options we’ve been asked for:  granite kitchen countertops, tiled baths, stainless appliances, fully sealed & conditioned crawlspaces, metal roofs,  15 SEER heat pumps, efficient hot water heaters (instantaneous gas an option), locally made cabinets….. and more….. Common House elevations and plans

The Fiori Hill neighborhood of custom cottages features many community amenities.  The foremost of these is the “common house” – a place to pick up mail, socialize on the porch, hold events, and perhaps host a guest.  Thanks to your input and ideas, we have finalized the way it will look (“elevations”) and the floorplans.  In addition to the community gardens, play areas, trails, and open spaces, this is another benefit to living at Fiori Hill.
